I’ve worked through these challenges myself. I’ve had periods when the spirit was missing from my work (and sometimes my life) and it felt hollow. I regularly asked my husband, “What am I doing with my life?” – even though I obviously had a career and plenty of clients. 

I’ve had times when I was relentlessly pouring myself into my business and felt drained all the time. I’m well acquainted with that “something is missing” feeling. And I’ve had clients to whom I offered really solid, practical guidance that didn’t work – because we weren’t addressing something that was outside ordinary reality. 

It’s now been years since I asked my husband that question. I know what I’m here for. It’s a wonderful feeling. I can see clearly whether or not a given option is aligned with my purpose. And when I’m on track, there is a divine flow guiding me and pointing out the ways in which the Universe is lending its assistance. 

My 20+ years of professional healing work led to a continual refinement of my energy medicine process. I call it Entheos Energy Medicine. With great reverence for the teachers and guides who have come before me and shared their wisdom, I am now called to teach this to others. 

Because the world needs more healers.

Entheos:

From the Ancient Greek meaning “the God within,” and the root of the English word “enthusiasm”

    • There’s a beautiful concept in Tantrik philosophy called iccha shakti. It is the creative impulse, the urge for expression, that seeks to play through each of us.

      When we find ways to unite our work to this pure reservoir, we feel nourished and enlivened by what we do – and this is easy to accomplish when you’re performing energy medicine. As the iccha shakti moves through us, it naturally awakens our unique gifts. 
  • You’ll know you’ve found your calling – and it’s a path with heart.
    • It’s such a wild calling to be drawn to energy medicine, and it’s always a calling – partly because you don’t end up doing this work by accident (lol) and also because it’s never just a job or even a career.

      It’s a calling because it’s a way of life. Becoming an effective medium of this work inevitably entails being deeply invested in your own healing, evolution, and awakening. Thus, when we choose this path we’re affirming our commitment to our Highest Self.

When we do the real root work, the shifts we make translate into tangible changes in reality. This is potent magic.

Sustainable: I have met numerous practitioners of energy work who report feeling depleted by it. Some can only do one session a day because they’re so spent afterwards!  It breaks my heart to know they’re living this way. In my experience this is usually the result of incomplete training. One of your first lessons with me will be how to have clear energetic boundaries so this doesn’t happen. 

It’s not necessary or even useful to give away your personal power or take on clients’ burdens. The superior path to the resolution of an imbalance never involves passing it on to someone else.

Ethical: When we realize the incredible power and impact energy medicine holds, we must humbly recognize the respect and care that it deserves. Holding all beings as sovereign and capable, we approach always with invitation and compassion, trusting in the client’s path and agency. 

We also hold in reverence the historic origins of many of these tools. Adopting these ways obligates us to recognize that many of the originating cultures have been disrespected, appropriated, and even destroyed.

When we practice energy medicine, we spend time in the interweaving of the world. Inevitably this makes us aware of our privilege and brings us face-to-face with the impacts of our choices. The Spirit Medicine Academy advocates sensitivity and a conscientious approach to these issues; this may be some of the most powerful healing work you can do.
Entheos Seers weave with light but do not shy away from the shadow. We are rooted, expanded, and unshakeable in our devotion to Truth – even when it’s uncomfortable.

What is Energy Medicine anyway? 

Methods of working with the human energy field are part of countless cultures and healing systems. You’re probably familiar with acupuncture, Qi Gong, and Reiki. All three entail perceiving, cultivating, and manipulating life energy (and all three have benefits proven by clinical research). 

Shamanic practices are a feature of the early civilizations that virtually all of us are descended from. Although shamanism was largely misunderstood by outsider anthropologists, in the past several decades we’ve been blessed by the work of sincere devotees who have done their best to respectfully convey these approaches to people in the “developed” world who have lost touch with their shamanic origins and are starving for reconnection with Spirit.

A central shamanic practice is the journey – a method accessible to everyone – through which we enter the spirit realm, the sacred space that exists above, below, and within the ordinary human realm, but which is generally unseen by humans immersed in their human stuff. 

In the spirit realm we can see the energetic matrix of the world, and this is why I chose the term seer for practitioners of energy medicine as I teach it.

Whether through tribal shamanism, the Sikh healing method of Satnam Rasayan, Wiccan rituals, Daoist animistic magick, or other approaches, the common thread is an act of shifting out of ordinary consciousness and entering the sacred space. Here we can ask questions and receive answers, discover the energetic underpinnings of people’s problems, meet spirit guides, and make changes. 

The world needs more healers doing this work on behalf of ourselves, the members of our communities, our governments and corporations, our species, the other entities with whom we share the planet, and the world as a whole.

What will my life be like if I do the Entheos Energy Medicine training program? 

As with so much in life, you get out of it what you put into it, so I can’t tell you exactly what will happen. But I can tell you that if you participate fully, with sincerity and enthusiasm, you can expect big, positive changes.

When you don’t dismiss these incidents as mere coincidence, you start to see that you don’t live in some random, uncaring universe – no, you were birthed by a loving, intelligent Source that wants you to thrive and recognize your sacredness.

One of my goals is to dispel the poisonous notion that we in the alternative healing arts shouldn’t expect to be compensated for it. Or that because we’re emissaries of the Light and we serve humanity, we should do it for free or cheap.

When was the last time your dentist or gynecologist treated you for free because they’re doing noble work? Your work is valuable and you can find clients who are happy to pay you generously for it.

You can do it anywhere.

Entheos energy medicine transcends geographical boundaries, allowing you to work with clients anywhere in the world from anywhere in the world with just as much precision and effectiveness. All you need is a phone or laptop to make calls. You don’t need to be physically present with a client in order to do effective work on their behalf. 

You’re likely to be happier.

There are several reasons why choosing this path can support your happiness. You’re happier when you have a calling. It galvanizes you. It gets you out of bed in the morning. You’re happier when there is fun, engagement, and meaning in your life.

You’re happier when you’re routinely striving to be your best self, and this work has a way of inspiring that. And you’re happier when you’re performing energy work on yourself and resolving the issues that get in the way. 

You live with continuous guidance.

This work builds your muscles of intuition, puts you in touch with spirit guides, and gets you acquainted with your soul. You’re never alone. These channels of guidance also help you move toward wellness – you’ll be more aware of energetic dynamics that are at play beneath the surface.

You’ll notice ways that you’re leaking energy, giving your power away, or taking on others’ power. You’ll perceive inherited patterns that are influencing your life. You’ll recognize toxic aspects of your environment. And you’ll more readily spot opportunities for growth. 

Your relationships will improve.

When you work on yourself, you hold yourself to higher standards, you conduct yourself with integrity, and you keep your communications clean. When you’re aware of energetic patterns, you’re less likely to take others’ behavior personally.

And as you develop a facility for this work, you’re able to intervene on behalf of the relationships you really care about and clear up detrimental energetics.

I decided to join the apprenticeship so I could deepen and expand my energy work with clients. Will you be teaching me Reiki?

Nope. Reiki is a beautiful offering, but very different from the kind of energy work I’ll be teaching you.

Do I have to do Level 1 before Level 2 and Level 2 before Level 3?

Yes, these teachings and way of moving through the world build on each other in the most beautiful sequencing. However, if you’re an experienced energy healer and you want to move directly to Level 2, reach out and we’ll see if that’s a good fit.

What does ordination give me the legal right to do?

As an ordained Entheos Energy Medicine Seer you will have the legal right to perform weddings* and funerals*, as well as sacred rituals. (*check with local laws to confirm in your area)

What if I fall behind in the program?

All sessions will be recorded so you have the opportunity to catch up, and there are two months of integration to give everyone the space to embody all of the material we’ve covered thus far.

I’m drawn to this, but am scared! Help

First, I just want to validate how scary it can be to receive the calling of energy medicine. Witches were burned at the stake in our not-so-distant history. The power we have inside doesn’t just scare us – it scares systems of oppression that have long been in place to control humans.  

But, we’re ushering in a new way, a way that holds all beings as sacred and works to elevate and protect the collective. 

I don’t even know that being unafraid is the answer – because if I’m honest, the fear is still here in me = I think the way forward is to learn to walk with that fear, knowing that living your fullest potential in service to the whole is fucking worth it.

Can I really make a living doing energy work?

Yes, you can. For sure you can. And it’s like anything else – it takes deliberate engagement and surrender. 

One of the huge hurdles is that energy medicine folks are often manipulated to believe that we should undervalue the work we do and either do it for free or do it for cheap.  And though I’m all for accessibility, I’m also for right relationship and exchange, which means we RECEIVE in abundance because the work we do is foundational, root work that literally changes everything.
