Create Space for Magic

Uncategorised

I hope that you’re having a wonderful week thus far! I’ve been traveling around the country masterminding and making things happen. It’s been fantastically fun and a lot of work.

It’s kind of the story of most of my life – working hard, having fun, making things happen. Repeat. I’m an avid doer. I’m not daunted by a full calendar, a big project, or a challenge. This is the element in which I thrive.

But, here’s the thing – sometimes all the doing leaves very little space for anything else. And that anything else could be magic.

There are times for crushing it, and there are times for receiving blessings from the universe. These things can happen simultaneously, or they can ebb and flow. If you find yourself living much more in one dimension than the other, it’s useful to try to balance these phases.

Creating space in your life to allow for even more abundance, joy, and love demands that you stop the non-stop, empty your cup, and open up to receiving. You don’t have to know what’s next all the time. In fact, it could be that you can’t even imagine the greatness waiting to be downloaded into your life.

I’m ready for an injection of magic into my life. – Tweet it!

Are you?

Join me in creating space for getting what you want and more by doing these three things:

  1. Schedule time for creative play. I love to dance, make jewelry, paint, play with my daughter and do projects with my man. There isn’t a ton of time to do all this when I’m uber-focused on work and other goals. And it’s easy to fill up our freetime with to-do’s– so schedule play time in your calendar and make it non-negotiable.
  2. Journal to express. A lot of the time we approach journaling – or not journaling – from the perspective that it should be productive. Like, we should use it to record our life for future reading, or to process something , or to figure ourselves out. This is all wonderful, but try creating the space to just write what comes to you, what feels good, with no goal in mind, no “reason.” Free form writing with no rules or boundaries

Connect with nature. Take a hike, play at a park, lounge on a beach, swim in the ocean, float down a river, whatever it is that makes you feel in awe of the magnificence of our planet. I encourage you to take the time to do these things, especially if you feel like you’ve been pushing with your own will a lot lately to make things happen.

I would love to hear from you in the comments about other ways you create space for the universe to infuse your life with awesomeness.

Magic is waiting for you.
