Feet on the Ground and Go

Taking that first step is always the most challenging, but also the most impactful. 

I had such a fun conversation with Beth this week about taking that first step in her business. Beth is like many that have done so much work and education around her business but taking the first step to put her work out into the world has been challenging.

This week’s convo made me giddy as we compared running a business to throwing a party, and I do love to host a fabulous party! 

We talked about attracting clientele like, “Who do you want to come to your party?” The awesome part is that it’s ok to have different types of parties- costume parties, themed parties- and it’s also ok to have different offerings that will attract different types of people- you just have to be willing to take that first step. 

When it comes down to it, if we think we have to do it perfect, we model that and it takes away from being the vulnerable, open, messy truth of being human. We get to create a willingness for mistakes and then a willingness to clean up our mistakes and be present. We don’t have to hide – we get to be real with our community.

The difference between 0 and 1 is the biggest step to get yourself in action. It’s the most challenging and most impactful. Be soft and gentle with yourself in the process. It’s time for you to get on the ground and take your first steps.
